Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.hefzul.net. We operate a private community platform utilizing WordPress, BuddyPress, and Youzify to facilitate communication among family, relative, neighbours and friends.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Live Chat

We provide a live chat feature to communicate with website visitors.

  • Secure Mode & Visitor Recognition: To provide a personalized experience, our chat is configured in “Secure Mode.” If you are logged into your account, our website securely synchronizes your profile information (such as your name, email address etc.) with the chat widget using an encrypted Javascript API Key. This allows us to recognize you automatically and prevents third parties from impersonating you.
  • Transcripts: We may collect and store chat transcripts, including any personal information you voluntarily provide during a chat session, to improve our support and maintain a record of communication.
  • Third-Party Processing: Chat data is processed by tawk.to. You can view their privacy policy here: https://www.tawk.to/privacy-policy/.

Social Login

When you choose to sign in using Google OAuth 2.0 Login, we collect your first name, last name, email address, a unique social identifier (UID), and a link to your social profile avatar.

  • Purpose: This data is used to create and populate your user profile within our community.
  • Google Compliance: Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Service User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

Cookies

  • Chat Cookies: tawk.to uses cookies to identify you as a unique visitor and to remember your preferences and previous chat history.
  • Comments: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for your convenience. These last for one year.
  • Login & Session: We set a temporary cookie on our login page to determine if your browser accepts cookies. When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login info and screen choices. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks.
  • Article Editing: If you edit an article, a cookie is saved indicating the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

Who we share your data with

  • Service Providers: We share necessary data with tawk.to (for live chat functionality) and your chosen social login provider (Google) for authentication.
  • Security: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
  • Spam Detection: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long we retain your data

  • User Profiles: For users that register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile indefinitely unless the user deletes their account. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
  • Chat Transcripts: Chat logs and visitor recognition data are retained as long as necessary to provide support or until the user requests deletion.
  • Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments/chats, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

User Data Deletion & Revocation

You can exercise your right to be forgotten at any time:

  1. Self-Service: You can delete your account and associated profile data via the User Account Panel in the dashboard.
  2. Social Access: You can revoke Google access via your Google Security Settings.
  3. Manual Request: To permanently delete your profile, comment history, or chat transcripts, please send an email to the administrator at admin@hefzul.family.
